Issues fixed

Menu works on newer versions of Windows, but won't enter a race

Use DgVoodoo as renderer[citation needed]
  1. Download the latest version of DgVoodoo.
  2. Copy the files dgVoodooCpl.exe, DDraw.dll and D3DImm.dll.
  3. Go to the installation directory.
  4. Paste the files into the installation directory.
  5. Optional: Use dgVoodooCpl.exe to increase resolution or apply other visual improvements.

Input exception

Full error message: Input exception in: D:\Work\InputLib\prog\CKeyboardDevice.cpp (216) DIError : Failed to get keyboard data

Close explorer.exe each time the game is started[citation needed]
  1. Hit ctrl+alt+esc on your keyboard to open Task manager
  2. Go to the "Details" tab.
  3. Type "explorer", and press the delete button.
  4. Confirm with "End process".
  5. Do this with every instance of explorer.exe listed.
  6. Now start the game using Task Manager.
  7. Go to "File", then click "Run new task".
  8. Browse to the games' executable <path-to-game>\A2Racer4.exe.
  9. Press OK.
  10. When the game is closed down, you'll need to start explorer.exe again.
  11. Go to File, Run new task in Task Manager.
  12. Type "explorer".
  13. The Windows taskbar and desktop should now reappear.
