Essential improvements

AI Logic Fixes

The base game and expansions contain a couple of AI bugs. The AI can see and shoot through buildings, and there is a bug where guns 'dig out' when manually ordered to turn.[2]
These can be resolved by replacing the AI logic DLL with the equivalent DLL from the spinoff game Stalingrad, which fixed these issues.
Replace DLL in the game directory
  1. Download the fix from ModDB.
  2. Make a backup of the original ailogic.dll in case you encounter issues.
  3. Copy ailogic.dll to <path-to-game>\Run (<path-to-game> for the GOG version).
  4. Overwrite the original file when prompted.

Winter Buildings mod

Adds winter models to certain buildings which originally lacked them.[2]
Installing the mod
  1. Download the mod from ModDB.
  2. Copy winter-buildings.pak to <path-to-game>\Run\Data (<path-to-game>\Data for the GOG version).

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/313480/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (313480) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
