Verifying DRM
- In comparison to other PC storefronts, verifying Microsoft Store DRM is a relatively complicated procedure that requires a number of specific steps.

- Install a select title from the Microsoft Store or Xbox App.
- Following installation, run the game for its initial startup, then exit out.
- Afterward, MOVE all of the game's files outside its Xbox/Windows installation folder.(Important!The game files must be moved to the same drive where the games are installed. For example If the games are installed on Drive D you must move them first on that Drive)
- Thereon, COPY all games files, most important of which is the executable application, into an external folder.(Other/external drives are possible as well)
- After copying completes, logout from your Xbox account and open the new external folder and run the game's executable.
If the game's executable opens without complication AND without asking for Xbox Live log-in credentials, then the game is DRM-free. Sometimes you can click the login away for example for Stardew Valley and the game starts without the need of a login.
